Yiddish song workshop: something old, something new...
After toying with the idea for two years, I’ve decided to take the bull by the horns and see if there is interest in the fair city of Toronto to do Yiddish song workshops. If so, I thought I'd develop this idea into a regular happening. I started with 2 times, 2 locations - and hope that people would not only have fun singing along with traditional favourites (...something old...) but also enjoy learning some of my own original Yiddish songs, which span from joyous sing-alongs to haunting ballads (...something new...) Well- it worked! There was much of very good feedback, and so the ride continues!
Thursday, June 9, 2016, 6-8 PM: Free Times Cafe, 320 College Street. $10.
You can buy tickets on the Upcoming EVENTS page here, or, email Lenka at firstname.lastname@example.org to pre-register (recommended but yes, you can just show up! ) or for any info.
