 As
a young child, my mother lived through three years of gradual withdrawal
of all basic human rights. She had to give up her dog, her school
friends, she was not allowed to go by train and visit her beloved
grandparents and so on. All these limitations culminated in 1942,
when her family was taken to the concentration camp Terezin. Of her
large extended family, only she and her mother survived. This one's
for her.
